What inspired me...

initially I thought, Hay 'I love rainbows!' and the silver sparkly part along with the rainbow reminds me of my 80's retro days as a child; rainbow bright dolls,coloring books, and Punky Brewster sneakers. Of plastic toys with that colorful with that sheen & color yellow that's a throwback of the old days.

What also inspired me to pick this swirly rainbow sparkly finial ornament was the 1970's. The love of rainbows (for the sphere part) which reminds me of a roller disco. I can see the disco ball and the rainbow colored leg warmers! And the solid yellow swirly top part and bottom of the ornament, when I think about it gives this studio 54 glamor to it.

I was looking for unique too and it fit well with the other European glass ornaments I picked for Geri's Specialty Gifts. And is a fine example of handmade European glass ornaments that will be cherished for years to come.

What made me pick Tannenbaum Treasures?

Well personally I don't think they are the most spectacular Christmas ornaments I've ever seen. But they are different and that's what I like about them. If I were to think about truly spectacular looking ornaments I would think of something overly sparkly like crystal Christmas ornaments but having all the ornaments on the tree that way will not look right.

And it would take away from the home like feeling of the Christmas tree. You know spectacular isn’t the key to great Christmas ornaments.
