What inspired me...

to pick this ornament was that it reminds me of the leaf paintings of India. I have a leaf painting that was given to me in grade school by my favorite gym teacher Ms Walker coming back from a pilgrimage to India. She was a spiritual person and taught us kids yoga.

This ornament exudes the pretty Indian culture's colors & celebration of life which is great. An interpretation of a lotus, a pink lotus, also reminds me of an ancient Egyptian painting. Colorful. I love colorful things.

The lotus ball Christmas ornament is a unique & it fits well with the other European glass ornaments I picked for Geri's Specialty Gifts. And is a fine example of handmade European glass ornaments that will be cherished for years to come.

What made me pick Tannenbaum Treasures?

Well personally I don't think they are the most spectacular Christmas ornaments I've ever seen. But they are different and that's what I like about them. If I were to think about truly spectacular looking ornaments I would think of something overly sparkly like crystal Christmas ornaments but having all the ornaments on the tree that way will not look right.

And it would take away from the home like feeling of the Christmas tree. You know spectacular isn’t the key to great Christmas ornaments.
